Having a baby revolves heavily around the Menstrual Cycle
Fertility treatment is based around the female’s menstrual cycle. It’s helpful if you keep a menstrual chart and notes of when:
- Your menstrual cycle starts
- How long it lasts and;
- If and when you have any pains or spotting between menstrual cycles.
The fertile window
The most effective time to conceive is during your fertile window (about six days every month). These six days occur for most women during the five days leading up to, and the day of, ovulation, when your body releases an egg.
The fertile window usually starts about 5 days after your period (bleeding) has finished.
